Tigers fall to University of Redland in NCAA Tournament

The DePauw University men’s soccer team faced The University of Redlands in the round of 32 of the NCAA tournament Sunday night.

The Tigers advanced following a come-from-behind win Saturday night against Centre College. DePauw took the lead shortly after the second half began with a goal from senior Zach Hoffman. Redlands would even the score at 1-1

With both teams looking for a game-winning goal, Redlands saw a deflection off a free kick find its way in the Tigers net with 15 minutes left to play. The Tigers pressed almost all of their men up the but were still unable to find the game-tying goal. DePauw’s postseason hopes are over but still had an impressive year finishing 12-6-2.

The loss crushes DePauw’s postseason hopes and ends their season with a record of 12-6-2.
