Dear Editor,

I've recently become aware of the significant and generous gift given to DePauw University for further development of the Campus Farm. As the University's first Sustainability Director and a significant contributor to the development of the farm, to say the least, I am over the moon about this gift. The Campus Farm is truly a treasure for DePauw University, as a way for students to understand the importance of the Earth and the issues of climate change, as a place to do something different and potentially find new life passions, and as an opportunity to understand how growing plants can be integral to so many academic and personal pieces of their lives. This gift will only enhance all of the many opportunities to learn the Campus Farm offers.

Bravo to the Ullem family for their vision in making this gift to DePauw, and bravo to Sustainability Director Anthony Baratta, the Development Office, and the whole team who worked so diligently and well to make this a reality.
