As one Greencastle dining option closed its doors Sunday, another has recently opened for business.

Two West, the Walden Inn's newest restaurant, has been giving students an additional dining choice since Nov. 19 while La Charreada Mexican Restaurant closed permanently.

Two West, located down the hall from The Fluttering Duck, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests of the hotel, as well as for DePauw students and community members. The menu features authentic food from regions of Italy and recommends Italian wines with entrees.

The eatery has roots in its predecessor, the Different Drummer, which closed down last year due to a lack of profit. Two West will have a greater flexibility than the Different Drummer, as it can serve upscale for conferences that come to the Walden Inn but also cater to University students and staff.

Jeremy K. Warriner, Director of Operations at the Walden Inn, said an added benefit with Two West is that it is a "fast option for the University."

Two stations serve a continental buffet breakfast in the morning and offer soup and salad for both lunch and dinner. An added option is an 'action station' which features a chef serving a selection of entrees, such as omelets or pancakes in the morning.

Two West is open for breakfast in the morning, lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m, and for dinner after 5 p.m. The restaurant is open to the community as well as students who can use swipecards, cash, check or credit card to pay.
