Crain lecturer discusses secret lives of U.S. presidents


The Crain Lecture series presented its third distinguished speaker Wednesday afternoon, documentary film producer David Taylor. Taylor, a former news producer for the BBC, won a distinguished Peabody award in 1987, as well as an Emmy in 2004. Taylor and Professor Ken Bode engaged in a discussion on A Presidency Revealed, a series produced by Taylor and aired on the History Channel.… Post the First Comment

Omega Phi Beta participates in national penny drive


Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will be holding a penny drive to benefit St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. Bins with the St. Jude's logo will be placed around campus so students will be able to donate their pennies and spare change. Omega Phi Beta joins other organizations in the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations in collecting pennies to benefit the hospital.… Post the First Comment

The theme of both environmental and personal health has pervaded DePauw's dining, lectures, student groups and daily life. Nepalese author talks literature, homeland in Kelly Writer's Series


Among the narration, clear descriptions and vivid details, there's one thing that writer and Indiana University graduate professor Samrat Upadhyay doesn't wish to accomplish in his writing: exoticizing his native culture of Nepal.
