The Panther football team will face some tough teams this year like Illinois, Illinois State, and Central Michigan. In order to play well against these teams, the Panthers want to train hard and get in tiptop shape.

Ron Zook's pacing is nothing new.
Step, step. Hand to his mouth, then back down to his side. His hands in his pockets and out again.
Never mind that it's a Saturday in late June. Zook still has an intent, consistent gait.
NCAA restrictions limit the time that the coach can spend with the players, making any sort of meeting highly improbable, but that's more or less irrelevant, with a complete ensemble of players nowhere to be found.

For most people, eating is a pleasure - although sometimes a guilty one. For Illinois sophomore Mike Tisdale, eating is a full-time job. The 7-foot-1 center's day is filled with consuming as much as he can.
In the morning, Tisdale makes a big breakfast before heading to morning workouts.

Eastern can be an ordinary college to some students. However, for Brazilian tennis standout Juliana Frey, it is a place of opportunity. Frey decided to enroll at Eastern because her home country doesn't offer collegiate tennis. Frey, 17, is in the International Tennis Federation Girl's Under 18 division and has been involved in the competitive circuit for the last five years.

Assistant track coach JaRod Tobler had a dream. As a sophomore track standout at Illinois State University, that dream was to be an Olympic athlete. Many athletes have this ambition that never comes to life. For Tobler, however, his goal is almost a reality.

Shaun Pruitt's and Brian Randle's dreams of hearing their names called in the NBA Draft did not come true on Thursday night, but the former Illini basketball players' hopes of playing in the NBA are still alive.
Pruitt reached an agreement to play with the New Orleans Hornets' summer league team July 11-20 in Las Vegas, while Randle will join former Illini teammate Dee Brown to play with the Seattle SuperSonics July 7-11 in Orlando.
