A group of 17 women celebrating a friend's 21st birthday Saturday at AJ's Restaurant & Bar were not expecting what happened.
Eastern student Elyse Wilson said while sitting in a private room of the restaurant, located at 1405 Fourth St., a man entered the room and exposed himself.

Champaign police have arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery Friday evening.
Witnesses said SWAT team members emerged from the apartment building's parking garage chasing a black man wearing a white T-shirt.
The officers brought the man to the ground and handcuffed him.

University professors Stephen Moose and Fred Below have discovered that a tropical variety of corn could possibly make ethanol production cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
Tropical corn, a crop grown in certain equatorial regions of the world, is unique because it needs little to no nitrogen in order to grow.

At first, they thought Eric was deaf.

Micah Rucker knew his fate in the NFL.
The Eastern senior wide receiver got a call from his agent with about 15 picks remaining in the draft and his agent told him that the Pittsburgh Steelers had offered Rucker a free-agent contract.
"(My agent) was saying if the Bears didn't pick me with their last few picks, I would be a Steeler," Rucker said.
